Introducing GBBC Translate
Global Baptist Bible College is beginning a strategic expansion to make its courses available in other languages, starting with Spanish as its pilot program. Until now, the ministry has been limited to English, but the goal is to reach far beyond that. By focusing on the top 25 languages in the world, GBBC could reach nearly 88% of the global population. This creates an opportunity to connect with people who are searching for truth, including those in closed countries or places with little to no gospel witness.
The mission is not only evangelistic but also instructional. GBBC seeks to disciple and teach Bible truth, including the New Testament church, and to come alongside men who are already leading churches but have not been grounded in sound biblical doctrine. The long-term goal is to identify and equip key men and see churches established.
To make this expansion possible, GBBC is using a hybrid approach that combines technology with human oversight. Video lessons will be processed through the program HeyGen, which can translate spoken content and produce lip-synced videos, so the speaker appears to speak the target language naturally. This greatly reduces the time and cost compared to traditional methods.
However, accuracy always remains essential, especially when dealing with theological content. Each translated transcript will be reviewed and refined by a qualified human translator who understands both the language and the doctrine. These translators ensure that key terms, teaching, and even tone remain faithful to the original lessons. As the program grows, GBBC will need to identify and recruit translators for each language, as their role is critical to maintaining integrity.
This program, called GBBC Translate, creates a repeatable process. AI handles the bulk of the translation and production work, while human translators safeguard clarity and correctness. If the Spanish rollout proves effective, the same model can be expanded into other languages.
If you would like to pray specifically for this project, you can download the list of top 25 languages with the link below. We need not only translators to ensure the translation is accurate, but once the translation is finished, we will need people who are fluent in each language that can handle questions, follow-up, and all that this kind of ministry requires.
